DELIGHTS in GREY & WHITE

Welcome to my blog
it's lovely to see you here.
today I'm sharing with you cards I made with new and older papers  from

 SILVER BOW & DANDELIONS
The floral background paper is from my stash of Meg's Garden papers
with grey cardstock, the dandelion image is from a set of journalling tags,
the double bow is made with sheer ribbon which is silver on one side & gold on the other
very effective

POPPIES & LACE

Background is grey cardstock on which I adhered the torn mulberry paper
the image is mounted on the same grey glued down over the strip of lace
sheer ribbon with silver grey edges is looped, a large grey rose, white rose & rosebuds finishes floral spray, all tipped with white gesso.

WHITE POPPIES & PEARLS

Grey cardstock, silver foil card then grey card in layers forms the base of this card
two strips of wide cotton lace, then strip of paper with cut 'v' the image has pearl centres
and some dimensional magic on edge of petals,
a row of silver circlets centred with pearls to finish

I hope I have inspired you to create today,
remember it's always good to use your stash

COLLECTION of CARDS

COLLECTION of CARDS

WELCOME

I do enjoy making cards as it is so lovely to give
& receive beautifully handcrafted cards
so precious...
I loved the new Vintage Journal Card papers from
MEG'S GARDEN
to design with
these images of the flappers era really appeal to me
as it is my favourite
I chose to leave these  5x7 inch cards in a simple format
to enhance the matted images

frayed muslin, a beaded tassle, lace ribbon & a matching rose to highlight

double matted image, lace, chiffon flowers, ribbon & bling

double matted image, tied ribbon, feathers & flowers with a tangle of thread to complete

Now for the more masculine cards
we all manage to create feminine cards when it comes to a design for the men in our lives we tend to take a big deep breath & shudder at the thought
I hope these help to inspire
Fussy cut around the gentleman with a top hat & leaned him on the 'Celebrate' ticket, a few cogs, mesh ribbon & a tied knot of string
corrugated cardboard is always handy to have
adding a few metal & wooden cogs & again string in a reef knot to finish

corrugated cardboard, tied ribbon, arrows, photo corner &
a metal embellishment bring this card together
I hope these cards have inspired you to create
Whilst your here wander through the blog posts &
see the gorgeousness the GARDEN GIRLS have created

A BOXED MINI ALBUM

Hello & Welcome

Can you believe this???
Having so much fun updating my blog and learning how to video
I will admit I'm doing it the hard way hand holding my phone
so have so not so pretty images of my aged hands as I turn pages etc.
and editing is my next lesson on the agenda.
Today I'm sharing my terrific gift idea

A BOXED MINI ALBUM

the box started as a mobile phone pack with a magnetic closure
I covered the outside with patterned paper, lined the inside with calico & lace
then decorated with lace, calico, frayed muslin, metals, pearls& roses,
added a metal filigreed knob over the magnet.
inside is a cute little album with flip up & flip out pages
which has a cuff as a closure,
decorated with die cut doily, more lace, hat pins and fussy cut flowers
pages were machine stitched to finish.
now my video ..

I really hope you have been a little inspired to create ..

JOURNAL ... WILD & FREE..

Hello again …

One of my most favourite things to create are journals,
I generally make them as a gift with uplifting quotes,
however I do make them also that photos can be added & stories told in their pages
I am also teaching myself to video...
I know I know
"teaching old dogs new tricks is a major exercise in itself "
BUT I'm about to share my first ever video
& from here the only way is up
so it's said …

WILD & FREE

This was made in a 4 x 4 inch premade album
using the Prima ' Wild & Free' papers
adding pockets & flip pages to give enable small photos to be added.
lace, chipboard, ribbons & beads to enhance .
All tied with a crushed organza ribbon this is a lovely keepsake for any age group

Hope you enjoy my video

HELLO ...

Helloooo !!!!

WELCOME
Part of my past 2 years I designed & taught card classes
I do enjoy making cards as it is so lovely to give
& receive beautifully handcrafted cards
so precious...
Sharing now some of my faves

JUST to SAY  HELLO
Its always good to have a card supply at home
pack of six using a 6 x 6 paper pad, hessian, laces, doilies ribbons & flowers
A class well accepted & with a detailed instructions were suitable as a takeaway kit.

PEARLS & BOWS

Using many different techniques, soft tied rayon ribbon & a tangle of pearls
used to create these pretty feminine cards.

DANCING DAISIES

very sweet blue & lemon cards
adding hessian, string & ribbons to complete these cards
participants in the class used half a 6 x 6 paper pack
and still had leftovers to use at home
Stamped greetings fussy cut to finish them.

A BIT of FRIVOLITY
What fun we had stamping & painting these images,
lots of giggles as the ladies gave the images names
My fave was the "Silly old Goat" LOL !!!

 1920's
this is my absolute favourite era so really enjoyed creating these cards
lots of lace feathers pearls & die cuts to decorate this set of cards ..
All my card classes come with detailed instructions with pics

sadly many ladies state they can't make cards so I hope I have inspired you to
