Having a computer go CRASH causes little hiccups .... like being a bit behind in blogging LOL !!!!

Scrappin Sillhouettes # 17 : I enjoy strolling through the Botanical Gardens in Sydney, taking numerous photos of the flowers especially  the beautiful November ( Easter) Lilies
 Scrappin Sillhouettes #18 is using of photos of a much younger Charlie.. I have used these photos previously however felt they suited the sketch

Scrap Sanctuary challenges

I had a fun time playing in Scrap Sanctuary, the theme of gothic, faerie,celtic or medieval is a totally different style for me  and I must say I really enjoyed the challenge
I was totally surprised to receive a message from the lovely Brigitte telling me I had won the third round of the October birthday challenge .. thankyou so much to all at Scrap Sanctuary & also to the sponsor of that challenge Scrapyshop

Stuck on U Sketch for October 31

another great sketch to play with this fortnight at SOUS
sometimes double page sketches move me right out of my comfort zone I will say however I had fun doing this
please always remember a sketch is the starting point and you can interpret how you wish so pop on over and join in the fun on SOUS

Scrap with V Sketch for October

this month we had a great double page sketch as our challenge on Scrap with V forum, this was set by Belinda
I had this great collection of photos taken whilst on holidays in Cairns, this sketch enabled me to use them all to tell the story

my take

 it was a fun afternoon, my DD decorated the battered straw hat with these beautiful roses, grabbed her camera & we all had our very candid pics taken  LOL!!!

SWV Think Pink Cyber Crop

October is  'Think Pink' month and in keeping with this theme Scrap with V held a fundraiser Cyber Crop, all monies raised will be donated to Be-Uplifted Inc..This is a registered fund raising group whose aim is to assist ladies & their families after the diagnosis & through the journey with help on the ground level.
There were fabulous challenges set by  the Scrap with V Design Team . 

The ATC challenge, 
all of the ATCs  will be auctioned as a set  in a silent auction at the end of voting, 
what a beautiful set to own... 

I used the Be Uplifted logo of the bra with frangipani cups & pink ribbon ties  with the inspirational words of ' Faith, Hope & Love', the dress form came from CI paper, & a rub-on pink frangipanis, gems & a pink ribbon 

A lovely sketch by Phillipa enabled me to use the 'flavour of the month' paper from the ' Lost & Found' collection from  MME

photo is of DGDs Sarah & Shannon  I have used this pic before however I think it really suited these papers 

The mystery challenge was conducted by Tarrah and I feel I have muddled my left & rights LOL !!!  happy with the finished result  though ..

 Photo is of Ness with beautiful pink hair, isn't it a great pic ... 

The DT only challenge criteria was:
feathers, hearts, doodling in pink pen, handmade ribbon or fabric flower,pink crown, scallops and a one word title ...

 I have all the criteria .. not sure about the finished result  ..

 Here are the examples I made for the 2 Kidz Challenges this month, the LO was a sketch & the card was to have hearts & flowers

Stuck on U Sketch for October 15th

I am a little behind in blogging ... firstly I had a 'puter crash & with that lost a few of my programs I work in ..
caused me a bit of a problem .. all sorted now ....
The new sketch on SOUS is a bit different and was fun to do ... I mounted my MM circle paper onto a Prima paper background which I felt complimented the pics of my DGD Sarah. The lace is from my sewing cupboard & bling is a mixture of prima & kaiser

A little bit Different

I had this photo of my Grandson  taken at his birthday party and decided  I wanted to do something a liitle different ... I headed over to Scrap Sanctuary as the theme of their site Gothic, Faeric, Celtic or Medieval  suited my pic ..I chanced on this great  sketch

and here is my take

I had so much fun doing this LO I decided to play along with the next challenge .. a card sketch by Brigitte

 I dragged  my stamps out of their packets, played with purple & black inks.. great challenges and what fun ... thanks for popping in

Scrappin' Sillhouettes Sketch #15

another great sillhouette from the lovely Jennipher at SS...
being the 5th week in the month the design is for a double page in an 8.5 x 11 format ...

however I chose to create a 12 x 12 LO .... using pics of Sarah & Shannon ... it wasn't until I uploaded  I realised I failed a spelling test ... oops LOL !!! thankyou Jennipher for a another interesting challenge ....

Beginning of October

How fast the month of September flew by, it is so hard to believe another month gone.....
I am thoroughly enjoying my scrapping time and have a LO to share from Stuck on You Sketches

I loved these pics of the girls hanging out at 'Cold Rock' enjoying time together enjoying delicious icecreams  it was Sunday mid morning ...  they were  'just chillin'' after the big party celebration held the previous night for Stevie ( 2nd from left) & her twin brother's 16th birthday....
