SWV Sketch

We had early celebration dinner &  gift giving with friends on Christmas Eve, it was a lovely time together ....

 I made this dress & bolero Charlie is wearing for her mummy in 1979 ... somewhere !!!!!!! I have those photos of her mum & also some of Charlie's older sister in the same attire ..... must hunt them up ....

this is my take using some Websters papers & stickers 

Charlie is wearing a dress & bolero that was her mummy's ... yep I'm a hoarder LOL .... My DD wore this dress in 1979 .... Somewhere I have a photo of Charlie's sister wearing this dress also ... so there is a LO coming up with mum & 2 daughters wearing the dress ....

SWVCC Mystery Challenge

Lindy organized the Mystery challenge for the CC this month & what a great mystery it turned out to be ...

I apologize for the photo really doesn't give the cutest Christmas Tree justice .....I used a book for my layers upon layers , upon layers of circles ... kindy glitz, wired beads ( thanks Ness) , pearls, tag is bo-bunny  with flowers & a vintage pearl button ... had fun with the  glue gun ... (not)

SWV blog Christmas Cyber Crop

We had a great time at the Cyber Crop last Friday night .. there were some great challenges to stir us along 
Challenge # 1 was set by Amanda 
1.Scrap a Christmas layout
2. Based on a night time activity
3. Using no Christmas themed supplies

I used Websters Papers  & cardstock stickers & a pic from a few years ago at carols .... 

Sketch Challenge was designed by Natalie 

For the Card Challenge Chris asks us to move away from the traditional Christmas colours & replace the red with either orange or pink and  replace the green with grey or brown with the gold to remain .It was also to have stamping & stitching ...

DT Challenge

1. Use glitter and bling

2.Use non tradional colours

3. Snowflakes to be added somwwhere

4.Include tree and baubles shapes

5.The word Light or Lights in your title

6.Tissue doily

7. Use a list format for your journalling

I used Bo Bunny Patterned papers, acetate snowflakes, bling & kindy glitz .... 
The photo is of the Catholic Church, whose display is always spectacular

My SWV Secret Santa

I received these beautifully wrapped gifts in the post a few days ago, I wasn't going to open till Christmas ... however I couldn't wait LOL ..... O MY..  how gorgeous is this canvas frame & the 'Delish' tags & laces 

...there is so much to look at in the frame with it's cute bird houses .. the quote reads : 
"create from the heart with reckless abandon"
It's all so scrummy ... I must have been very good ...what a lovely spoil ...

Stuck on U for December 10

SOUS have a challenge with a difference as the first challenge for December ... The team were asked by Generations Crafting if we would be interested in doing a Die Cut paper challenge and of course, we said yes! So, each of the designers  has chosen a die cut paper from the Bo Bunny collections provided to create a Layout.( we all received the same papers) .... Come in to SOUS & check out the fantastic LOs by the team
I chose the die cut paper from the Flower Child range, I added the cardstock stickers & another Flower Child patterned paper & cut out the flowers ...

Your challenge for this fortnight is to use any die cut paper in your stash  ... the ones you've been hoarding LOL .. be creative and share what you have done !!!! You will have 2 weeks to upload your project. 
We would love you to be part of this fun challenge AND ...... 
This month there is some blog candy  .....

Scrappin Silhouettes # 23

another week has flown by ... I have done most of my Christmas shopping .... will finish tomorrow .. YAY !!!
I completed the silhouette earlier in the week .. it was a great one to work with & use many photos
the pics are of my DGD & her friends clowning around at school ... gotta love their blackened tooth considering most wore braces .....  LOL !!!!!
