I thought the #69 sketch on LCTS  created by Smitha  was a great challenge to finish off the month so I had a play .... really I should have been cleaning my very very messy creative space  ... couldn't help myself  LOL .. the added challenge was to have a heart somewhere on the layout ..

DGD Stevie & her friend Lizzay being a pair of posers LOL .. I used some of my older papers as I'm trying to use up my stash my heart is in the word 'Love'...

Lets Capture these Sketches Card #21

I was delighted to have a 'captured card' on LCTS # 19 

and be invited as Guest Designer for card # 21

The challenge is to use the sketch by Jerusha Borden, with of extra challenge of stamping    to create your card 

I mirror imaged the sketch & used my 'special moments' stamp highlighting the butterfly wings with glitter ..

February CC at Scrap with V

Well I had a busy scrappin' weekend ..I managed to complete 4 of the challenges so was pretty chuffed 
Challenge 1. set by DT Tina was a colour challenge 'RED BLACK & WHITE' with a text of a love song in your title... I chose 'Always & Forever' sung by Heatwave, the lyrics are printed down the right side 

Challenge2. .. sketch by Valerie Bishop.. I actually scraplifted Valerie's terrific layout as it's not my normal kind of style & wanted to have a go at clean lines ...  It took me longer than any of my other LOs  LOL !!! .. thanks Valerie for taking me out of my comfort zone .. 

Challenge 3. a card with a bit of love, hearts, at least 2 layers and in your favourite colours which are green & blue ..

DT Challenge criteria ... 5 buttons, paper pleating, altered chipboard, origami heart & lace. 
I covered my chipboard scalloped corners( which are cut from an A2Z Scraplets  nested square) with paper, sanded , stamped & covered in dimensional magic, my origami heart from Amy Bender's tutorial on Scrap with V blog has been trimmed with flowers & a butterfly .

Thankyou Ness at Scrap with V for organizing another great cyber crop, I will be finishing off my mystery challenge later in the week ..

A2Z Scraplets Release

Julie has released fantastic new chipboard titles & shapes over at A2Z Scraplets, pop over to the blog & check them out , also the inspiring creations from the Design Team

These are the ones I had to play with .... 

Shapes - Boots -Set of 2 
I used a mixture of basic grey, graphic 45, 7gypsies,a touch of prima & stuff from my stash ... I love that boot shape .. so versatile

Walk the Dog
when I saw this shape I immediately thought of the 'Pink Poodle' motel on the Gold Coast, it was once one of 'the' places to stay.. I used some of my older papers a mix of basic grey, heidi swapp & websters pages added a few ribbons, buttons & flowers .. I inked & painted the shape using mm paint & versamark ink

Shapes- Branch, Leaves & Hearts ... 
a lovely shaped branch with leaves & 2 hearts , I inked the leaves & highlighted the veins with pen.. the square is from the A2Z  Scraplets scalloped nested squares  which I have covered in paper& used to create a frame  & I have separated the words of A2Z Scaplet title to balance it on the LO  .. papers from Websters pages, basic grey & 7 gypsies.

LCTS Card Challenge

I was introduced to 'Lets Capture These Sketches' by Ness ....

she has some great news on her blog .......  pop on over & check out her excitement .... 

On the site is this Card Sketch # 19 designed  by Anita Mulcahy .. I decided to have a play ....

 

for my take I created a origami heart from some Doodlebug patterned paper from my stash, trimmed the heart with flowers, a butterfly & small bow ... I stamped around the edge of swiss dot bazzil & lightly distressed   ....to finish I tied a big pink bow ....

why not come on over  to LCTS ???? play with some sketches !!!! nothing like a new sketch to get the creative juices running ....

        These fun pics of DGDs Stevie & Charlie with friend Lilli were taken at a friend's pool   I have used  a Websters Pages paper from the 'wonderfall' range

I also completed a LO titled 'In the Summertime'  of DGD Stevie taken during the holidays

OTPs to SHARE

part of my DT assignments for this month were OTPs , I so enjoy playing in this area, sometimes they finish so differently to how I had envisioned .... the first one was a chipboard album from Twiddleybitz available from Scrap with V....

I used Prima patterned papers, laces & flowers, Craft Queen ribbons, K&Co embellishments & stuff from my stash ... I love being able to use odd bits & pieces ....

 written up on Scrap with V blog is a  tutorial & photos of the other pages

My other OTP was for A2ZScraplets 

I designed this CUPCAKE frame using Kaiser 'candy lane' range of papers 

There is a tutorial for this cute frame on the A2Z Scraplets  ... 

I am now about to sort my playroom & put it in some kind of order .....

The Inspiration Challenge :

I was inspired by the colours, roses, shoes, bling & the white dress;

The photos are of my friend De-Anna on her wedding day, the A2Z Scraplet chipboard  shoes have been painted & glittered, bling in bottom right corner is half of a vintage buckle
