a week of rain

wow did Brisbane get some rain.... to use the common expression "it came down in bucketfuls"
unfortunately there was some major flooding causing much chaos & heartbreak.... my sympathies go to all who were affected.
for me there was plenty of time to play in my scrap room, to while away the wet days LOL..
I finished various challenges set on the scrap with v forum

with the scraplift challenge set by DT Jodi a LO we lifted was designed by Brenda Schmitt, very different to my style and I love the whole concept ....

Kylie J set the challenge to scrap a masculine LO , this is my grandson Leigh( 14.5 yrs) being a normal boy having his pic taken... LOL

Black & white challenge set by DT WendyG.... the photo didn't need to be black & white however I think it added a little pizzaz .... the pic was taken by Ness, when we had coffee at Woody Point

my take on the challenge on Crafty Sketches.... pop over & check out the sketch and the prizes
"gotta be in it to win it "... sketches are set by the CT twice a month... the 1st & the 15th .....

my take on the Blackwith 2 challenge site ... the challenge for this month are lime green with hot pink , a flower stack & swirls of pearls ...

lunch on the river

I was given 4 tickets to have lunch on the River Queen2 , Saturday just past. I invited Ness Lindy & Sylvia to join me . What a wonderful day!!!! the weather was perfect, a warm 26 degrees with clear blue skies. Lunch was yummy, selection of seafood & salads, roast meats & vegies, hot dishes of sausages & gravy, noodles, salt & pepper squid, platters of fresh fruit and small cakes to have with tea or coffee. It was a great time sharing and many pics were taken to scrap at a later date.
Here we are the "girls at lunch" Sylvia & I behind Lindy & Ness, photo was taken on board

the River Queen2 with the Storey Bridge in the background

Thank you so much girls for a great day
A special thank you to the dear friends Paul & Kaye who gave me the surprise gift of 4 tickets.

a few challenges

last month on "scrap with v" a challenge was set by Lindy, we were to scraplift a LO created by Christiane Muller ... this is my take on Christiane's beautiful work. The photo is of me with my friend, Lesley taken last year.

purple is the colour of this week's colour challenge on "scrapbudz" forum, had fun creating this LO, the daisies were photographed in my back garden, sadly they were affected by dry weather I will be replanting them very shortly...

blind challenge on "scrapbudz" forum, was much fun.. I really enjoy these challenges, the photos were taken in the Sydney Botanical Gardens last November..

last weeks colour was lemon/ yellow on "scrapbudz" colour challenge, daisies & daffodils are my favourite flowers , so have really enjoyed doing LOs with flowers, I have decided to do an album of flowers ...

a few more pages

I received a great surprise this week I won with my take on the April sketch at " pinkalicious"
the photo is of my grand daughter Stevie at 2.5 years ( she is now going on 15) I'll have to scrap the pic of her twin brother Leigh really soon

the sketch challenge at the SWV CC was set by DT Lindy, I really enjoyed this sketch as it has many possibilities & also uses the leftover scrap paper in our stash, photo is of grand daughter Chloe nursing Bar-Bar, the pet chook, Bar- Bar thought she was a dog and would come in for a pat & nurse, she was also a good layer

ten days have passed by

Scrap with V cyber crop last weekend was great fun, and we had some great challenges set
the one above was our "mystery recipe" set by DT Kim this sunset was photographed from my son's unit in Sydney, the colour of the sky was absolutely amazing

Challenge 1. set by DT Liz we needed to have the word COLOUR in our title
this is a pic of me with my friend Sylvia, the title reads " friends add colour to our lives"
the theme of the CC was "rainbow" so all colours of the rainbow are used on the LO

DT challenge criteria is from forum members and this months was a" doozey"
use ribbon in the colours of the rainbow, gold must feature on the page, 7 patterned papers, a photo that shows a rainbow & bling of rainbow colours, I feel I have met the challenge LOL

create a card using the 7 colours of a rainbow was challenge 4 set by DT Janine

DT Wendy inspired us with a pic 3 different patterned papers and bling, this is Shannon with her lovely " stick on Glam Nails" it was a great night ... i'm ready for the next one
