 Shabby Chic, Butterflies & Bows Challenge for January

January 23 rd

have had some fun doing various challenges this week, aside from my class kits for Ness, pop over to

I visited ARTistic, enjoyed this challenge the inspiration was gleaned from a Pro Hart painting
each month they feature a different artist & painting

I also entered a LO in the  Prima BAP

I loved these photos of Chloe, I used a couple previously however thought this sketch was an ideal way to show all  the photos

scrap the girls is probably a logical place for me to go with 5 grand daughters so thought " may as well"

the corduroy coat & bonnet Charlie is wearing was her mummy's. My mum made it for Daajan 24 years prior to this photo.. it is now back in my tin trunk with all the other treasures :)

over on the Scrap with V forum there are 2 challenges set for the month of January
one is a sketch .... from Pencillines 

this is my take on the sketch... the 'Carol Singers' were featured at a church display during the Christmas period. gorgeous aren't they
the other is a scraplift of a Norwegian scrapper Ingvild Bolme who does some awesome work

January 10th ...

Happy New Year ....
Yesterday I had a get together with my brothers & wives for belated Christmas & New Year  greetings,
it's so great to meet up, tell tall tales & true, share news of our children & grand children,
we had many celebrations during the lead up to Christmas.. grand daughter Sarah turned 18, 20thDec.
grand daughter Chloe also had a birthday17thDec.,
Ken & I drove to Mackay to spend Christmas with long time friends, Stuart & Lesley, fantastic break away for a week, they live on the northern beaches area of Mackay, a short afternoon stroll to the waters edge,
a lovely surprise for me .... I am on the ' black with 2' design team .... am delighted to join the team of talented scrappers, Kim Kendell, Lindy Gillespie, Kylie Symmons, Kathie Andriesson, Tammy Leaver & Kylie Tout,

My first LO as a DT member, criteria was Black with Blue,White, lace snowflakes & glitter. TFL
